But independence comes with a cost as she navigates her decaying relationships in the looming presence of an encroaching spore invasion. A coming-of-age story tinged with climate anxiety, inspired by the real-life environmental catastrophes hitting the Pacific Northwest, including heat waves, floods, and (impending) earthquakes.
