Artur “Atze” Brauner was a German film producer. Brauner and his family, who were of Jewish descent, were persecuted by the Nazis during the occupation of Poland. He managed to flee to the Soviet Union. In 1946, he founded CCC-Film, which he built into one of the most successful German production companies of the post-war period.
