
Eleni - Electra Anousaki (Greek: Ελένη Ανουσάκη, Athens, 1 May 1944) is a Greek actress and politician. Her parents are actress Malaina Anousaki and opera tenor and protagonist of the revue genre, Evangelos Anousakis. She first appeared in cinema in 1950 at the age of six. She was the little girl held by Eleni Hatziargyri in the film I Sinned for My Child, in which her father starred. At the age of 16, she entered the Drama School of the National Theatre as an exceptional talent. She appeared in the film The Red Traffic Lights and was expelled from the school due to her appearance. Later, the decision of the director Thanos Kotsopoulos was overturned and she returned. At the same time, she accepted an invitation from FOX and went to Cinecittà to study, with teachers such as Carol Reed, Rex Harrison, Richard Bard, Monica Vitti, etc. She did not complete her studies, but she played in Carol Reed's film, Agony and Ecstasy. She followed an important career in theater, cinema and television. Her husband is the director and cinematographer Dimitris Papakonstantis.
